The Mission of the AMTA -Kansas Chapter is to advance the profession of massage therapy through service to its members.
Upcoming Continuing Ed
In the June continuing ed, students will gain an understanding of the basic anatomy of the cervical region. Students will be able to assess and learn how to safely perform massage and bodywork techniques to the cervical region that will assist with pain management of cervical injuries and postural deficiencies.
Licensure for Massage Therapy Initiative
Our Chapter is now engaging in moving our licensure for massage therapy initiative forward by taking the next needed steps.

With Chapter support, MTF funds important research grants, publishes the profession's only free scientific journal, helps practitioners incorporate research into education and practice, and partners with community organizations to bring the gift of massage to individuals who would otherwise have no access to this powerful gift.

The AMTA Chapters have done an outstanding job this year supporting the Massage Therapy Foundation (MTF) in terms of special event fund raising and Dollar(s)-Per-Member contributions. To-date, Chapters have contributed $73,393 to the Foundation! We would like to thank all Chapters who have contributed and encourage the Chapters who have not yet participated to consider a gift before the end of the year.
